This is my favorite recipe for making golden-brown, crispy, fluffy homemade waffles that turn out perfectly every time! This is a very simple recipe and easy to get kids involved in the kitchen.

You can freeze your cooked waffles to make for easier mornings. Simply cook, cool, and freeze in a storage bag.

Equipment

  • Waffle Maker

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients and mix until combined. 
    Pour the waffle batter onto a preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's directions. (I always spray my waffle iron with canola oil).
    Serve immediately
