6 slices bacon or 1/2 cup pre-cooked real bacon crumbles
1/3cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 400 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears in a single layer on the baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together.Coat asparagus evenly with olive oil using a pastry brush. Roast until the asparagus is tender but still crisp and starting to brown, about 12 minutes. This may take longer for thicker asparagus spears.Transfer the spears to a serving plate and sprinkle with bacon and parmesan. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
